Now in his 21st year with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Kyle Hillman is a veteran policy strategist and association leader advancing the profession through bold, member-driven advocacy. As Director of Legislative Affairs for NASW-Illinois and Executive Director of NASW-Nevada, Kyle authored the first-in-the-nation bans on AI “therapists” in Illinois and Nevada and was pivotal in securing alternatives to the ASWB licensing exam in Illinois. His leadership continues to shape legislation on mental health access, equity, and workforce reform – ensuring social workers have a voice in every critical policy debate.
